I would like to create a "Chicken Ordinance" in Pahrump. This ordinance should resemble those established in larger cities like Henderson and Reno. I checked today with Nye county planning and was told chickens are considered "livestock" and are not allowed in my area. I live in Calvada on a half acre. I have more space on my property for 6 hens than most folks in these larger cities with chicken ordinances. How can we get this established for Pahrump or Nye county. All help is appreciated.
