Funding Opportunities

The Nye County Resilience & Recovery Fund provides funding opportunities that empower local organizations, healthcare providers, and community partners to lead prevention, treatment, and recovery initiatives that address substance use across the county. Whether through larger, community-based programs or smaller microgrants for sober events, this funding supports practical, local solutions that reduce harm, strengthen recovery pathways, and promote long-term resilience in Nye County.

Become a Peer Reviewer

Nye County uses a peer review process to help evaluate applications for opioid settlement funding opportunities. Peer reviewers are community members who volunteer their time to review proposals and provide feedback based on established criteria such as community impact, feasibility, and alignment with allowable settlement uses.

Peer review plays an important role in ensuring funding decisions are fair, transparent, and informed by local perspectives. By involving community members in the review process, the County strengthens accountability and helps ensure that resources are directed toward programs that best meet the needs of Nye County residents.

We welcome individuals with lived experience, professional expertise, or a strong interest in community health, recovery, prevention, or youth and family services to participate.

If you are interested in becoming a peer reviewer for future opioid settlement funding opportunities, please email Charli Bruce at crbruce@nyecountynv.gov. Training and guidance will be provided.
