Before contacting the Treasurer's Office, STR owners must obtain the required state and local licenses to legally conduct rentals and post listings pursuant to Pahrump Town Ordinance No. 74. There are fees associated with STR registration and inspections that will be payable upon application pursuant to Town of Pahrump Resolution No. 2025-01. Each listing requires a separate license.
- Applicant must obtain a State of Nevada Business License.
- Obtain Town of Pahrump Business License STR packet and information to start STR registration process from Town Administration.
- Complete the Nye County Planning Department Business License Review Application; this will include septic inspection information and will advise whether listing is allowable based on parameters set by ordinance.
- Applicant contacts Town to initiate STR license registration and pay the registration, license, and inspection fees, as well as provide a completed regular Town of Pahrump Business License Application; a link will be provided to pay online or options to pay in person. After the payment is processed, applicants will visit this portal to complete the STR license application.
- After the STR license is issued, the Town of Pahrump Business License will be issued.
