The Nye County Board of Equalization annual hearings will not be held in February. The County received no taxpayer appeals regarding the taxable value of his or her property.
In Nevada, any taxpayer who disagrees with the Assessor may appeal to the County Board of Equalization. The appeal process is designed to afford any property owner with a method to ensure that the Assessor equitably values his/her property. The Nye County Commission appoints the Nye County Board of Equalization. The Assessor does not employ the Board members.
