Monday, January 9, 2023, is National Law Enforcement Appreciation Day, a day set aside to thank the men and women who protect and serve our communities nationwide.
Show your appreciation to our officers who serve the Nye County Sheriff's Office by placing a sticky note this Monday on a designated marked law-enforcement vehicle in the Walmart parking lot, 300 Highway 160, from 10 am to 2 pm.
Jobs in law enforcement are often thankless and dangerous and can take officers away from their families for long hours each day.
Most importantly, if you see a police officer, thank a police officer.
