Reminder that the comment period for the County’s Hazard Mitigation Plan is open until Monday, October 30th.
The Hazard Mitigation Plan serves as a framework for developing hazard mitigation projects that will reduce the negative impacts of future disasters on the communities in Nye County. Completion of the plan update is critical. The next step in the plan update process is a public review and comment period of the initial draft of the updated Hazard Mitigation Plan.
The plan is available for review by the public on the Nye County Website and is attached, or by contacting Patrick Lazenby at Nye County Emergency Management dplazenby@nyecountynv.gov or at 775-751-4279 to request a copy of the draft plan.
