[ARCHIVED] Volunteers needed for this weekend's Wildlife Fencing event

The next volunteer wildlife fencing event will be Saturday, June 22nd, and Sunday, June 23rd, starting at 5:30 a.m. both mornings.
Interested people and organizations are asked to gather at Roadrunner Road and Leslie Street (Map)

This is the third weekend of the 6-mile wildlife fencing project to help prevent burros, horses, and other wildlife from wandering into the valley and onto roadways.

Commission Chair Debra Strickland stated they hope to place a mile of fencing each weekend. Two miles have been completed.

All new participants will be required to fill out a volunteer application form for this county-sponsored event. The forms will be available at the event or can be downloaded here (PDF) and brought to the site this weekend.
