[ARCHIVED] Street Impact Fees in Pahrump increasing September 1st

PAHRUMP – On September 1st, Street Impact Fees will increase on new commercial and residential development in the Pahrump Service Area to strengthen the purchasing power of Public Works for materials to improve the roads. 

The increase goes into effect on September 1, 2024. Impact fees are charges assessed for the impact that new development has on the Town of Pahrump's streets. Street impact fees shall be spent on street projects and not on capital improvements or facility expansions that are not street projects. The fees are pursuant to Pahrump Regional Planning District Impact Fee Ordinance No. 302, Article 6 and NRS 278B.225.1

 PUBLIC NOTICE

 The Pahrump Regional Planning District Impact Fee Ordinance 302 and NRS 278.225.1 allow the increase of street impact fees each year if the Board of County Commissioners does not adopt any revisions to the land use assumptions or capital improvements plan or otherwise increase the impact fee, the current amount of the street impact fee is cumulatively increased:

1. By a percentage equal to the average percentage of increase in the Consumer Price Index for West Urban Consumers for the proceeding 5 years; or

2. By 4.5 percent, whichever is less.

Pursuant to Ordinance 302 and NRS 278.225.1, the Street Impact Fees shall be increased by 4.2% effective September 1, 2024.
