[ARCHIVED] County Government Offices will be closed January 9th

In response to President Biden’s Executive Order recognizing the passing of the 39th President Jimmy Carter, Nye County government offices will be closed on Thursday, January 92025, as a mark of respect. All executive departments and the agencies of the Federal Government will also be closed.


Emergency service administrative offices will be closed, but field operations will continue normally. Animal Control is available on holidays and weekends at 775-751-6315. Please leave a detailed message.


Regular office and operations hours will resume on Friday, January 10th.


Additionally, all flags at County and Towns buildings and facilities will remain at half-staff through sunset on January 28, 2025, in honor of former President Jimmy Carter.
