The Board of County Commissioners will be holding a public hearing on Wednesday July 16, 2014 at 9:00 a.m. regarding Special Use Permit Applications and Related Waiver Applications for proposed medical marijuana establishments located in Nye County.
Thirty-two (32) special use permit applications for medical marijuana establishments have been filed with the Nye County Planning Department. Of the 32 applications, 17 are for cultivation facilities, 9 for production facilities, and 6 for dispensaries. Additionally, four (4) waiver applications related to the establishments have been filed. Of the 32 applications, 23 are located in Pahrump, 5 in Amargosa Valley, 3 in Tonopah, and 1 in Lower Smoky Valley.
The public hearing will be accessible to the public at the following locations:
