PAHRUMP, Nev. - The Homestead Road Improvements Project is scheduled to be completed on February 24.
Road crews with contractor Wulfenstein Construction began paving the nearly 1-mile stretch from Gamebird Road to Manse Road last week.
The unexpected relocation of some underground utilities has also pushed the end date for completion into mid-February.
Despite the delay, the project is anticipated to come in slightly under budget.
The Board of Nye County Commissioners awarded the $1.8 project to Pahrump-based Wulfenstein Construction during the board's regular meeting September 19, 2017. Road work began November 8, 2017.
The project is funded by the Nye County Road Fund, which is supported by the county gas tax.
