NOTICE OF VACANCIES
Nye County Water District Governing Board
The Nye County Board of County Commissioners is requesting applications from persons interested in filling vacancies on the Nye County Water District Governing Board.
- One vacancy is for a resident from the area in Nye County, known as Smoky Vally / Currant Creek / Gabbs (Area 1) for an unexpired term ending June 30, 2025.
- One vacancy is for a resident from the area in Nye County, known as Tonopah / Belmont / Manhattan (Area 2), for a term ending June 2026.
- Two vacancies are for residents from the area in Nye County known as Pahrump (Area 4, Positions 2 and 3) for a term ending June 2026.
- One vacancy is for an At-Large member for a term ending June 2026.
(The applicant or any person related to the applicant within the third degree of consanguinity or affinity must not be affiliated with a private utility that is regulated by the Public Utilities Commission of Nevada. The duties and responsibilities expected of board members can be reviewed in the Governing Board Bylaws document found in the Helpful Links / Governing Board section of the Water District website at www.nyecountywaterdistrict.net .
Applications may be obtained at the Nye County Clerk’s Office, 101 Radar Road, Tonopah or 1520 Basin Avenue, Pahrump, by calling (775) 482-8127, or by visiting www.nyecountynv.gov. Please submit your applications to the Nye County Clerk’s Office, P.O. Box 1031, Tonopah, Nevada 89049 no later than 5:00 p.m. Friday, May 24, 2024.
