[ARCHIVED] Alert: LifeLock customers receiving false property alerts

The Nye County Recorder’s Office has been made aware of a software glitch affecting some LifeLock customers. The error is causing a false fraud alert related to some Nye County properties and several other counties within Nevada, some of which may not be owned by the person receiving the alert.

LifeLock is aware of the issue and is working to resolve it.

If residents receive a notification from LifeLock related to a property in Nye County, County Recorder Deborah Beatty encourages them to verify the information by searching the recorded documents. Recorded land documents are indexed by party name and can be searched on one of the public research terminals in the Recorder’s office or online at www.nyerecorder.net

The Nye County Recorder’s Office offers a free Property Recording Alert Service. Click here for more information and to sign up.

Nye County has no affiliation with LifeLock or the services they provide.
