[ARCHIVED] Seeking Applications for Nye County Peace Officer Advisory Review Board

The Nye County Peace Officer Advisory Review Board is seeking qualified applicants to objectively review citizen complaints and internal investigations of Nye County Sheriff's Office peace officers. 

Membership on the board is voluntary and unpaid. 

To be eligible, applicants must be residents of Nye County and cannot be a present Nye County Sheriff's office peace officer, school police officer, constable, or deputy of a constable. Applicants do not necessarily need to possess any police or investigative skills, but must be objective in their work on the board. Potential members must have a flexible schedule. All members who are selected must complete training relating to law enforcement before serving as a member of the review board, including, without limitation, training in the policies and procedures of law enforcement, the provisions of NRS.289.010 to 289.120. 

Applications may be obtained from the Peace Officer Advisory Review Board website at nyecountynv.gov. The Nye County Board of County Commissioners appoints the members of the board. Applications must be received by 5:00 p.m., Thursday, November 6, 2025. Please submit your application, resume, and letter of interest to the Nye County Administration Office, 2100 E. Walt Williams Dr., Pahrump, NV. 89048 or nyeadmin@nyecountynv.govAny applications received without a resume and a letter of interest will be deemed incomplete. No applications will be accepted after the due date.
