Nye County Health & Human Services (NyeHHS) is pleased to announce the launch of the Recovery Through Connection Micro-Grant, a new funding opportunity designed to support sober, community-focused events throughout Nye County.
A total of $10,000 in funding is available for 2026, with individual grant awards ranging from $1,000 to $2,000.
About the Initiative
The Recovery Through Connection program aims to strengthen substance use prevention and recovery through community engagement. This micro-grant supports events that:
- Provide safe, substance-free environments
- Promote positive social connections
- Increase awareness of local recovery resources
Eligibility
Applicants may include:
- County, local, and tribal agencies
- Nonprofit organizations
- For-profit businesses
- Schools and youth-serving organizations
- Private or higher education institutions
Project Requirements
- Events must take place between March 1 and December 31, 2026
- Projects must align with the priorities of the Resilience & Recovery Fund and the Fund for a Resilient Nevada
Review & Approval
Applications will be evaluated by a Peer Review Committee consisting of community members and stakeholders with experience in recovery, prevention, and community wellness. Final funding decisions are contingent upon approval by the Nye County Board of Commissioners.
