[ARCHIVED] Judicial Filing Period Open Through January 16

The Judicial Filing Period is currently open through January 16th, and the Nye County Clerk is the official filing officer for the office of Justice of the Peace, Pahrump, Department B. Candidates interested in filing may do so at either Clerk’s Office location:

Clerk office hours during the filing period are Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with a lunch break from noon - 1 p.m.

The filing fee is $105, payable by cash, cashier’s check, or certified funds made out to the Nye County Clerk. No other Justice Courts are up for election this cycle.

District Court departments 1 and 2 are both on the ballot this year. However, candidates for those seats must file with the Nevada Secretary of State.

A real‑time, unofficial list of candidates who have filed with the Nevada Secretary of State is available online.

The official Certified List of Candidates will be published on the Nevada Secretary of State website after the close of filing.

The Non-Judicial Candidate Filing period will be March 2nd–13th. Notice of Offices on the ballot this year is available online.
