During the first meeting of the year on Monday, January 6, the Nye County Board of Commissioners selected its leadership team for 2026.
Commissioner Ron Boskovich was reappointed as Chair, and Commissioner John Koenig was appointed Vice‑Chair of the Board of County Commissioners.
The Board also confirmed leadership for its related governing bodies:
Board of Highway Commissioners: Commissioner Bruce Jabbour was reappointed as Chair, with Koenig reappointed as Vice‑Chair.
County Licensing and Liquor Board: Nye County Sheriff Joe McGill was reappointed as Chair, and Koenig will serve as Vice‑Chair.
All appointments take effect immediately and will remain in place for one year.
