The U.S. Department of Agriculture has issued a Secretarial Disaster Designation for Nye County due to drought conditions. This designation provides agriculture operations within the Nye County access to disaster assistance through the USDA Farm Service Agency (FSA).
This assistance includes access to emergency FSA loans. If assistance has been received from CARES/CFAP funding, producers are still eligible for disaster assistance through FSA.
